Lonely at the top, but less crowded.
I didn’t record it but I hit a conventional deadlift 1rm PR (245lbs), and decided to have pendaly rows as one of my main back row exercises (2nd./3rd. exercise after deadlifts). My boyfriend today told me to not ever disrespect myself or put myself down. You do that, you’re allowing other people to do it too.
And there’s a difference between being comfortable and being happy.
If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known, that we are at all times ready for War, said George Washington.
At some point or the other, each one of us has felt insulted by someone for something. One must know the art of tackling the insults.
The following ways could be adopted to deal with insulting comments:
Ignorance can be bliss if one can do that. You can either take it as if the comments were not targeted at you or simply don’t care and keep a carefree attitude.
2. Understand the person’s motive behind an insult:
If the person just simply wants to let you down because of any reason, such as jealousy out of your success, you must forgive the person and move on. Always remember you have what they don’t have.
3. Plan avoiding the situation:
Try to avoid situations where you know you’ll have to encounter an insult if something goes wrong.
4. Know the legal rights:
If you feel that the insult was a type of harassment, and so falls under legal laws, report it to the appropriate authority and complain about it.
5. Respond in a witty manner:
If one tackles an insult by responding to it in a witty manner, the aggressor might never dare to insult you again and will maintain a distance from you. This is because they realize they arent upsetting you and the insult is not fun anymore.
6. Ask for help:
If the insult bothers you a lot, you must seek help from your parents, friends or colleagues. Have a conversation with them, which will make you feel more relaxed.
7. Taking insults in a healthy way:
Don’t get stuck in a mental loop where you ever think about an insult, instead, let it come to the surface and work on yourself. It might be a great opportunity on your doorsteps to offer perfection in the way you think.
One must not restrain himself from social interaction just because of the fear of an insult. Instead, take that in a positive sense and make improvements to yourself. Always know that you are worth everything you deserve and no soul can let you down. For more such content download Personality Development application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mayur.personalitydevelopment
